Your daily and weekly rhythm: how the pages fit together

Well Lived works best as a loop: decide what matters this morning, log the day as it happens, look back on it tonight, and once a week step back further. This guide shows how the pieces connect, so each one feeds the next instead of sitting on its own page.

When to use it

Read it once you've logged a day or two and want more from the app than a list of entries. None of the rituals are required. Plenty of people just log, and that's a fine way to use it.

The shape of it

When Page What you do Takes about
Morning Morning Write a little, choose today's main focus 5–15 minutes
Through the day Log or the + Log what you just did seconds, a few times a day
Evening Evening Reflect, check the plan, score the day 5–10 minutes
Once a week Week Review the week, set next week's priorities 15–20 minutes
Once a month Priorities Choose and update the month's priorities a few minutes

On a phone, the bottom tab bar has a Morning tab that reads Evening from 3 PM, so the ritual for the time of day is always one tap away. On a computer, Morning, Evening and Week sit near the top of the side menu.

How to use it

Morning: set the day up

  1. Open Morning. The left card is your Morning journal: Thoughts for whatever is on your mind, and Gratitude for a few things you're grateful for. More prompts opens two more (Feeling and Inviting) if you want them.
  2. On the right, under Today's plan, write Today's main focus: the one thing that would make today a good day.
  3. Add up to three more under Also today if there are any.
  4. There's no Save button. The page Saves as you write.

If you set priorities for the week, they show in a This week box beside the plan, so you can pick today's focus with them in view.

Through the day: log as you go

Your main focus follows you. It sits above the timeline on the Log and on Home's Today card, struck through once you've marked it done.

Log from the Log page, or from the + Log button (top of the side menu on a computer, the floating + on a phone) anywhere in the app. Each entry only needs an end time, a project and an activity. Rating its Energy takes a second and is what later tells you what lifts you and what drains you. See Log.

Evening: look back

  1. Open Evening. Under End of day, write what stood out today and what it taught you. A few lines is plenty, and it saves as you write.
  2. Beside it, The day as logged shows every entry, so you can fix anything before you score.
  3. Under How the plan went, mark each plan item Done, Partly or Not today.
  4. Time & energy shows where the day went, project by project, coloured by how it felt. Mentioned, not tagged lists people (and shows) named in your notes but not linked, so you can tag the ones that belong.
  5. Score your Values (1–10) and your Balance (−5 too rested, 0 balanced, +5 burned out).
  6. Press Save in the bar pinned to the bottom. It shows what's left, for example "Plan 3 of 4 · Values 6 of 6".

If your account has the coach, a card offers Review my day. It uses AI to read your log and what you wrote, then drafts the scores with a reason for each, a guess for any plan item you haven't marked, and a one-line Takeaway. Change anything that's off and press Looks right — save. It learns from the scores you correct. It can draft tonight or a night or two back, and Draft again is allowed once.

The values and balance dimensions are your own, set in Settings → Values and Settings → Balance.

Week: step back

  1. Open Week. It opens on the week just finished (weeks run Sunday to Saturday). The arrows move between weeks.
  2. The week shows hours logged awake, how often the main focus got done, workouts, your life areas against their targets, and what lifted and drained you.
  3. Worth a look appears only when something is off: an area well under its target, priorities not started late in the month, people due a check-in, a birthday coming up. Each line links to where you'd fix it.
  4. Values & balance this week shows the average of your nights. Change one only if the week as a whole felt different.
  5. Write a few sentences under This week taught me…. Your nightly takeaways are folded underneath to jog your memory.
  6. Set up to five Next week's priorities. They sit beside your plan on Morning all week.
  7. Under This month's priorities, update any that moved.
  8. Press Save week.

With the coach, Review my week drafts one to three observations, each with the evidence, the goal or value it bears on, and one thing to try. It also suggests priority statuses, which you can keep or change.

Month: choose what counts

On Priorities, set two or three things that would make the month count, filed under your life areas. Their status (from Not started through Minimal progress and Significant progress to Completed) shows as a small progress bar on Home, and the weekly review is the natural time to update them. Longer-range goals live on Goals.

How the pieces feed each other

  • Morning's main focus shows on the Log and Home, and Evening checks it.
  • Evening's takeaways come back on the Week page.
  • The Week's priorities show on Morning all the next week.
  • Monthly priorities appear under their life area on Home's This week, by life area, flagged when that area is behind.
  • Energy ratings from the log feed Home's What lifts you, what drains you, the Evening's Time & energy, and the Week.

Tips

  • Start with one ritual. Logging plus Evening is a good pair; add Morning once the evening habit sticks.
  • Keep the main focus small enough to finish. "Draft the proposal" beats "Sort out work".
  • A night you skip is fine. Evening works for any past date (use the arrows), and the Week averages whichever nights you scored.
  • If there was no plan for a day, Evening says so and links to Morning. Nothing is held against you.

Questions

Do I have to do all of this? No. Each page stands on its own. Logging alone already gives you Home and Time spent.

Can I fill in Morning or Evening for a different day? Yes. Both have arrows to step to the previous or next day, and Morning lists your past entries underneath.

Where do my values and balance dimensions come from? From Settings → Values and Settings → Balance. Start from a set there and rename, reword or add to it. Evening and Week only score what you've set up.

Why doesn't Week open on the current week? A review is most useful once the week is over, so it opens on the one just finished. Use the arrow to look at the week in progress.

I don't see Morning, Evening or Week in my menu. They aren't turned on for your account. The same goes for the coach's review buttons.
