I forgot to log part of my day. How do I fill it in?

Gaps are normal, and easy to fill. Any stretch you didn't log shows on the Log as time not logged, and you can fill it in today or on any earlier day.

Fill a gap

A gap shows as a line like 45m not logged, 9:00–9:45 AM · fill in?. Tap fill in? to log that stretch. Its start is fixed; you choose where it ends, so you can fill a gap in several pieces.

Squeeze an entry in between two others

Hover over the line where two entries meet (on a phone it's always faintly visible) and press +. The entries on either side make room for the new one.

Go back to an earlier day

Use the arrows beside the date to move between days, and Today to come back. Older days are for reading and fixing: you can edit any entry, use fill in? and +, but the main form only shows on today.

Start today somewhere other than where you left off

Today's form starts where your last entry ended. If you didn't log the end of yesterday, tap the underlined start time in From … until to start somewhere else.

Questions

Do gaps count against me? No. Time that isn't logged is left out of your totals, not counted as anything, and Home shows it as not logged. Fill it in if you remember; leave it if you don't.

Can Describe it fill an old gap? No. Describe it only covers the time since your last entry. Use fill in? for earlier gaps.

Why did the next entry move when I changed this one's time? Entries are a chain: when you move a time where two entries meet, the neighbour moves with it, so nothing overlaps and no hour is counted twice.

It says the entry overlaps one I already have. Two entries can't cover the same time. Edit the one that's already there instead.
