Can I connect other tools, like an AI assistant, to Well Lived?

Yes, with a personal API token. A token lets a tool you trust read your Well Lived data, and add to it if you allow it, without your password.

Make a token

1. Go to Settings → Data & account → API tokens and press New token….
2. Give it a Name you'll recognise later, like "Claude on my laptop".
3. Choose Access: Read only, or Read and write.
4. Enter Your password and press Make token.
5. Copy the token now and keep it somewhere safe. It's shown only once.

The tool then sends the token with each request to the Well Lived API at https://app.welllived.io/api/v1. Opening that address with your token lists everything the API can do.

Keep track of your tokens

The list shows each token's name and access, when it was made and when it was last used. Press Revoke to cut a tool off immediately.

Questions

What can a token reach? Only your own account, and only the parts of Well Lived your account has. A read-only token can't change anything.

Are there limits? Up to 20 tokens, and 120 requests a minute for each.

Someone saw my token. Revoke it and make a new one. The old one stops working straight away.
